Begin your road trip in the musical city of Memphis and explore the birthplace of the blues by taking in a performance in one of the entertaining Beale Street blues bars. Of course, no visit to Memphis is complete without a visit to Graceland, home of the late Elvis Presley. Continue your exploration of Muscle Shoals in Alabama known for its music heritage. Visit Fame Studios where famous artists like Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones, Wilson Pickett, Willie Nelson, and Lynyrd Skynrd to name but a few made recordings here. Take a scenic hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with plentiful trails and beautiful surroundings.
Continue on to The Horse Capital of the World, located in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region. As you reach Louisville, don’t forget to visit the home of the world’s most famous thoroughbred horserace, the Kentucky Derby which takes place at Churchill Downs.
