Florida
Florida is the ultimate family holiday destination and a really popular idea for an Easter holiday is to combine a visit to Orlando, the Theme Park Capital of the World with a few days of relaxation on the sunny beaches of the Florida coast.
Begin your holiday in Orlando where you’ll spend fun filled days at the city’s famous theme parks. Visit Universal Orlando Resort, home to three epic parks, Universal Studios Florida, where your favourite movies and TV shows come to life, Islands of Adventure where you can test your bravery on thrilling rollercoasters and Volcano Bay, Universal’s water theme park.
Or perhaps you are more of a Disney fan, in which case a visit to Walt Disney World is a must do and where you will make memories that are sure to last a lifetime! Meet all your favourite Disney characters, enjoy the fireworks show at the iconic Cinderella Castle and splash around in the waterparks.
Orlando is such a jam packed destination it’s a great idea to head up to the Florida coast for the last few days of your Easter holiday to unwind on the beach. St Petes Beach, Clearwater Beach and Daytona Beach are among some of the most popular beach holiday destinations.
Mexico
Mexico is a great spot to head to for some family fun in the sun during the Easter holidays. A holiday to Mexico boasts plenty of fantastic all-inclusive resorts that have something for everyone in the family. Most resorts are located right on the beach and some even have their own private stretch of beach exclusive for guests of the hotel. Find your perfect spot to relax under the warm Caribbean sun for the day or try your hand at the wide range of watersports available. From snorkelling to paddleboarding, sailing to water-skiing there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.
The fun continues back at the resort where depending on where you stay you can enjoy activities such as cooking classes, yoga lessons, dance classes, crazy golf and water aerobics to name a few! The weather in Mexico at Easter time is usually in the mid to high twenties which is the perfect temperature for days by the pool or tearing it up taking part in all the fun activities on offer!
California
Jet off to the sunny west coast for your Easter family holiday were you’ll be spoilt for choice on where to spend your time!
Hang out in glitzy Los Angeles were you can explore Universal Studios Hollywood, discovering the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, journey through Jurassic Park or take the famous Universal Studio tour, a fantastic experience that brings you behind the scenes of famous Hollywood movie sets! If you’ve gotten a taste of the movie star life, go and see if you can spot your favourites on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, or go check out the famous Hollywood sign for yourself! Head to Griffith Park where you will find fantastic walking trails with stunning views out over the city or if you fancy a dip in the ocean, a day out to Santa Monica beach will be a huge hit!
You can continue your Californian adventure in San Francisco, and a great way to get there is jump in the car and head down the Pacific Coast Highway and get a taste of an iconic West Coast road trip with stunningly beautiful ocean views all along the route. In San Francisco take a bike ride over the famous Golden Gate Bridge, pay a visit to Alcatraz or head down to Pier 39 where you’ll find lots of nice shops, restaurants and amusements.
Elsewhere in California, sunny San Diego is a great spot to go to with your family as there is loads there for the kids to do. Alternatively, you could take a camping trip to Yosemite National Park for an adventure filled holiday full of hiking, biking, kayaking and more!
Toronto
Canada is a great place to visit for an Easter Holiday and Toronto is the perfect city to explore with the family. This stunning waterfront city has a vibrant atmosphere with fantastic dining options and lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Take a short ferry ride out to Toronto Island where you’ll find walking and biking trails, a petting farm, amusement park, playgrounds and splash pads. Toronto also boasts the Ripleys Aquarium of Canada, a great place to spend an afternoon, while a trip to the iconic CN Tower is a must do for amazing views of the city and you can even book dinner at the top of the tower, a lovely way to create a fantastic family memory.
